Sometimes difficulties we experience in our lives and relationships can feel overwhelming or out of our control. We may wonder why we react in certain ways or why problems seem to repeat themselves. Or we may just need some holding when life gets bumpy. I provide a space where you can feel held and deeply understood, where you can bring all parts of yourself without judgement. I can help you to explore where and why patterns of thinking, feeling and behaviour may have formed, and support you to release their grip to bring about the changes you need. As a couple I can help you understand the dynamics at play between you, to work through difficulties productively and to improve connection.
I am also an Occupational Therapist and have worked across adult mental health and physical disability settings. I bring a wealth of experience from this to my psychotherapy practice and I welcome clients who are impacted by disability and life-limiting illness, either themselves or as carers and loved-ones.
I am currently taking on new clients, with some availability on Wednesdays to Fridays.
Fees: £55 for individuals, £70 for couples. Sessions are weekly unless working towards an end. I do offer some lower cost places so do ask.
I have access to a ground floor wheelchair accessible room if needed.

About Me
I have always loved working with people. I started off by doing a psychology degree many moons ago. After that I wasn't sure what to do and spent some years abroad, losing myself and finding myself again. I eventually went back to university and studied an MSc in Occupational Therapy. I worked in mental health secure services then changed direction to work in the community with people with disabilities, an area I still enjoy working in. In 2015 I did a year long Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling and I knew I had found my calling. Since then I completed 4 years training in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy and received a Postgraduate Advance Diploma. My research project was "How do Adults Make Sense of Losing a Parent as a Baby or Toddler", a topic which is close to my heart. You can read more about that in my blog. I am registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (fully accredited), UK Council of Psychotherapy (as a trainee until I complete an exam), UK Association of Transactional Analysis and International Transactional Analysis Association (trainee memberships). I have completed additional training in Couples Counselling and am passionate about working with couples.
